Sharing a list
Publish first
A list is private until you publish it. Publishing is what creates the public page and the link that goes with it; before that, the list exists only for you.
When you publish you also choose how the list appears to people who find it — its cover, its description, and whether it shows up in discovery as well as at its own link.
Share the link
Once published, the list has a permanent link you can send anywhere: a message, a post, a bio, a QR code. Anyone who opens it sees the list in the style you chose, on any device, without creating an account.
Opening a shared list is always free to the reader unless you have set a price on it.
Link the posts you shared it in
Some platforms won't let a MyList link into a caption or a comment. Add the post itself to the list's settings under Linked posts — paste its link or the whole share text the platform gives you. Then anyone who copies that post and taps Paste a link in the MyList app lands on your list, even from a different share of the same post.
A post can be linked to one list at a time.
Change it after you share
Edits to a published list go live when you publish them, so the link you already sent keeps working and shows the current version. There is no second link to send and nothing for readers to refresh.
Take it back down
Unpublishing removes the public page. The link stops resolving for other people, and your list — with everything on it — stays in My lists.
