Getting started
Creating your first list
A list is the unit of everything on MyList. It can be five records, forty restaurants, or the two apps you actually open every day — there is no minimum and nothing to fill in before you start.
Start a list
Open My lists and tap the plus button. Give the list a name; that name is what people see when you share it, so write it the way you would say it out loud — "Films I make everyone watch" beats "Film list 2026".
You can also start from Create with AI: describe the list in a sentence and we draft the title and the first entries for you. Everything it produces is a normal draft, so you can rewrite or delete any of it.
Pick a style
Styles decide how your entries are laid out — a poster wall, a numbered rundown, a photo grid, a plain stack. We pick one that fits what you have added so far, and you can change it at any time from the style picker.
The style follows the list everywhere it goes: the share page, the preview card, the thumbnail on your profile. Changing it never changes your entries.
Save as a draft, publish when ready
Every list starts as a draft that only you can see. Nothing is visible to anyone else until you publish it, and unpublishing a list takes it back out of view without deleting anything.
What to do next
- Adding things to a list — links, search, and what we fill in for you.
- Sharing a list — publishing and the share link.
