Sharing
Share codes
Some places won't take a link: a caption that strips URLs, a bio with no room,
a video where nobody can tap anything. A share code is a short name for your
list that people can type instead — something like 8PARISMUSTVISIT.
Set a code
Turn on Share code in the list's settings. MyList suggests a random code; type your own instead, or tap Random for another. A code is 4 to 32 letters or digits, and each one belongs to a single list.
Codes aren't case-sensitive: 8parismustvisit finds the same list.
How people use it
In the MyList app, readers tap Enter a code and type it. The list opens exactly as it does from its link. Only published lists answer to their code.
It isn't a lock
A share code finds a list; it doesn't hide it. Anyone with the link can still read the list, with or without the code. To charge for a list, set a price — see Selling a list.
Change or remove it
Change the code whenever you like; the old one stops working straight away and becomes free for someone else. Turning it off leaves the list and its link exactly as they were.
